I’ve never been able to sleep alone, I’ve talked and written about this many times, but haven’t drawn much about this. I crave heartbeats to lull me to sleep, I require breath to cradle my soul into unconsciousness, and always will. My heart is One with the beat of the hearts of those that I love, from the neighborhood dogs I waddled into the street to take my afternoon nap with, to the friends and lovers I’ve fallen asleep with ever so gently due to one thing they all have in common, a heartbeat. This piece isn’t only about sleep, or heartbeats. It’s about friendship, kinship, loving unconditionally and gently. It’s about finding part of your soul in someone or some creature and playing together until the sun goes down, waking up together with the dewdrops of togetherness. Exploring the wonders of the world with the souls you cherish most, and for that bond to last forever and ever and ever

This was a small piece I did in my sketchbook as I was in New Orleans in January, daydreaming about undying togetherness and feeling loved by my 3 beautiful friends I explored with.
