Enchatra is a self portrait, as all of my pieces are a piece of my heart and represent different parts of myself, my thoughts, experiences and desires in different ways, but Enchantra represents my freedom, my everlasting desire to alchemize, imagine, be curious, create, play, love, enchant, and be loyal to nothing but my own heart and wherever it guides me. Freedom, Creativity, Curiosity and Beauty have been consistent themes in my life. Free from the discipline of deserving. Creativity, Alchemy, the art of being Able and being willing to recognize the potential in my heart, the desire to show the world how I feel, what I’ve experienced, and to share with everyone. Curiosity for everything.. For Creatures and what may be between the pages of every book, what may be in the heart of every stranger, what my sound out into the world with the beat of every drum, every key; what may be beyond the expectations of word of man. Beauty, and a lifetime’s passion for it. Beauty in all things, knowing that my life is what I make it and allowing my eye for beautiful things to dress my life every day.
I drew her to look like me. My endlessly long virgin hair, my big brown eyes, my pale skin waiting for the sun to kiss it with its beams of evidence on earth. Flying away as the unicorn patterned with stripes of a zebra and spots of a leopard and the muted shades of pink, green, and blue dripping in jewels carrying me into glimmering daydreams forevermore.
